ART OF THE WEEK

20 - 26 January 2014

For Those in Peril on the Sea (2011) is an installation by Hew Locke (b. 1959), a British artist of Guyanese descent. It consists of scaled-down replicas of ships suspended from the ceiling, creating the impression of a massive exodus taking place above the viewer's head. The work is on display at Project Gallery: Hew Locke at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) in Florida4 November 2013 - 25 May 2014.
