Art Basel in Miami Beach presents exciting modern and contemporary works by more than 4,000 artists. The fair brings together over 250
leading international galleries under the roof of the Miami
Beach Convention Center and runs from 5-8 December. Public artworks are shown at Collins Park and Film is presented at the
MBCC and SoundScape Park.
Galleries, the busiest sector, comprises over 200 gallery booths displaying
a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and digital art. Nova provides galleries the opportunity to showcase
two or three artists’ recent works; often never-before-seen pieces. Positions
is a platform for new talent and enables galleries to present the work of a
single artist whilst Editions features editioned works, prints and multiples. Kabinett
displays curated shows and Magazines is a sector for art publications.
Many magazine editors contribute to the Salon series, a schedule of presentations, lectures and discussions
by a range of speakers.
Participants in this year’s fair include
galleries from Argentina,
Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany,
Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal,
