ART OF THE WEEK
19 - 25 August 2013
Amerikkka (1991-2013) by Brazilian artist Cildo Meireles (b. 1948) serves as critical commentary on concepts of territory, questioning history as a narrative of colonial domination.
The installation is on view as part of the Cildo Meireles exhibition at the Reina Sofía Museum's Velázquez Palace in Madrid's Retiro Park. 24 May - 29 September.
