Peter Lanyon (b. St, Ives, United Kingdom, 1918 - d. 1964) was passionate about his native Cornish landscape. The Mural Studies focuses on a little known aspect of Lanyon's work - the mural commissions. The exhibition includes the final large scale gouache sketches for the Liverpool and Birmingham murals, as well as other studies and work derived from Lanyon's exploration of the medium.
