ART OF THE WEEK

26 August - 1 September 2013

Death in the Afternoon (2011) by London-based Irish artist Conor Harrington (b. 1980) draws inspiration from Theseus fighting the Minotaur (1826) by French sculptor Étienne-Jules Ramey (b. 1796, d. 1852) and the novel Death in the Afternoon (1932) by American author Ernest Hemingway (b. 1899, d. 1961)

The painting is on view as part of Summer Group Show at Mead Carney in Mayfair, London.
