Right-angle Turn by Beijing-based artist Chen Xiaoyun (b. 1971) is on show at the ShanghART Gallery booth at Frieze Art Fair, London (15 - 18 October 2014).
China’s tumultuous recent history and rapid modernisation tend to be the focus of Chen Xaioyun's practice. Whilst he stages everyday scenes with an element of oddity, his works reflect upon the mundane as well as the existential.
