Griffin Art Prize 2013: Winners and Shortlist Exhibition


Luke George and Elizabeth Rose are the recipients of the Griffin Art Prize 2013, an exciting opportunity for emerging artists. The duo's winning work, Gate (2013), makes George and Rose the first collaborative artists to win the award.

The Griffin Art Prize offers the winner a six month residency in the Studio Building. A large, well-lit studio, materials and a small financial allowance are provided for the winning artist to develop new work for a solo show in the Griffin Gallery, an impressive artist's space at the head office of some of the world’s finest artist materials; Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Conté à Paris.
 
The Griffin Art Prize 2013: Shortlist Exhibition features a wide range of media including painting and drawing. The showcased artists are Eleanor Bedlow, Emily Moore, Mary Wintour, Luke George and Elizabeth Rose, Helen Frank, Nicole Wong, Rae Hicks, Scott Robertson, Susannah Douglass and Yuhwa Son.
